This guy has a pretty interesting point.

Do all of the Sorry Everybody people actually think that the rest of the world would be perfectly happy with John Kerry? They would have been happy for a few months that he wasn't Bush. But if he had done even half of the things that he promised to do during the campaign, they would have hated him too. This was never a choice between the world loving us or hating us. Just a choice between them hating us some or hating us more.
